γένημα, -τος, τό (< γίγνομαι), [in LXX chiefly for תְּבוּאָה H8393 ;] a form not found in cl., but used in LXX, NT and π. (Bl., §3, 10; M, Pr., 45; Deiss., BS, 184), as distinct from γέννημα, q.v., of fruit, produce of the earth : Mt 26:29, Mk 14:25, Lk 12:18 22:18, II Co 9:10 (Rec. γέννημα).†
