  leave behind, ἐπὶ δὲ πλεῖον ἐλέλειπτο Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey” 8.475, cf. X. “An.” 1.8.18 codices:—middle, leave behind, of gleanings, variant in LXX.Obad.1.5 :— passive, c.genitive, fall short of, παντὸς ἀριθμοῦ Plato Philosophus “Epinomis” 978b: with dative, τῇ δυνάμει, τῇ οὐσίᾳ , Arist. “Ath.” 20.2, 27.4.
