  ἧσσον, genitive ονος; Attic dialect ἥττων, Ionic dialect ἥσσων (not ἕσσων) Herodotus Historicus (see. below), Democritus Epigrammaticus 50, Hippocrates Medicus “περὶ τῶν ἐν κεφαλη—ͅ τρωμάτων” 2: formed from ἦκα (properly ἠσσ-, compare ἤκιστος), but in sense Comp. of κακός, μικρός :
