__I.a mostly with subjunctive, δείδω μὴ οὔ τίς τοι ὑπόσχηται τόδε ἔργον Ilias Homerus Epicus “Illiad” 10.39, compare Herodotus Historicus 6.9, Thucydides Historicus 3.53, 57, Plato Philosophus “Meno” 89d, etc.: after historical tenses, with opt., ἠθύμησάν τινες ἐννοούμενοι μὴ οὐκ ἔχοιεν ὁπόθεν λαμβάνοιεν Xenophon Historicus “Anabasis” 3.5.3, etc. : with future optative representing future indicative in indirect speech, μὴ οὐκ ὀρθῶς αὐτὸ ποιήσοις Plato Philosophus “Euthyphro” 15d.
