__I a ship's tackle, tackling, Homerus Epicus (only in Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey”), 2.390, al., Hesiodus Epicus “Opera et Dies” 627 ; especially ropes, halyards, etc., δησάμενοι δ᾽ ἄρα ὅπλα Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey” 2.430, etc. ; in which sense Homerus Epicus twice uses the singular, rope, 14.346, 21.390: generally, any ropes, Herodotus Historicus 7.25, 9.115, Hippocrates Medicus “περὶ ἄρθρων ἐμβολῆς” 78.
