International Standard Bible Encyclopedia: E-J Volume 2 (Revised ed. 1982). p. 1006); Anderen willen het afleiden van ציוןxsayon^H06724 "droge plaats, dorre plaats" (Abarim Publications' Theological Dictionary), dit is onwaarschijnlijk daar in de Bijbel Sion als een waterrijke omgeving wordt weergegeven (Jes. 33:20-22; Ezech. 47:1-12; Zach. 14:8; Joël 3:17-18; cf.
