οὐκοῦν,
  Doric dialect οὐκῶν, adverb, composed, like{οὔκουν}, of οὐκ and οὖν, but differing in meaning and accent, compare Apollonius Dyscolus Grammaticus “de Conjunctionibus;” 257.18s qq., Hdn.Gr. 1.516, Phrynichus Atticista “Praeparatio Sophistica” p.98B.
__I in questions, inviting assent to an inference, or to an addition to what has already received assent, οὐκοῦν δοκεῖ σοι.. ; you think then, do you not, that.. ? Xenophon Historicus “Institutio Cyri (Cyropaedia)” 2.4.15, “Mem.” 1.4.5, compare 4.2.20, Plato Philosophus “Protagoras” 332b, 360b -d, “Cra.” 416c, etc.: with hortatory subjunctive, οὐκοῦν καὶ ἄλλους σε φῶμεν δυνατὸν εἶναι ποιεῖν (i.e. ῥήτορας ἀγαθούς) ; prev. author “Grg.” 449b: followed by οὐ when a negative answer is invited, οὐκοῦν οὐκ ἂν εἴη τὸ μὴ λυπεῖσθαί ποτε ταὐτὸν τῷ χαίρειν ; prev. author “Phlb.” 43d, compare “Phd.” 105e ; οὐκοῦν οὐδ᾽ ἂν εἷς ἀντείποι ; Demosthenes Orator 16.4.
